Beats Will Discontinue Three Products!

On 1 November 2021, Beats introduced a pair of new truly wireless earbuds, Beats Fit Pro, which received universal praise in early reviews.

However, on the same day, the company has decided to discontinue the rest of its product lineup.

According to MacRumors, the three headphones of the Beats family have been quietly suspended:

  1. Powerbeats.
  2. noise-canceling Solo Pro headphones.
  3. Beats EP headphones.

They are no longer available on the Beats or Apple website

As reported by MacMagazine, Apple’s online store redirects the users to a list of Beats products when they are trying to access the direct links to the Powerbeats, Solo Pro, or EP.

Product stock may still remain at third-party retailers.

However, they will be gone once the current stock is sold out.

Powerbeats were introduced in 2016 to replace the Powerbeats 3 with a design inspired by Powerbeats Pro. It was cheaper and came with a wire, though.

Unfortunately, it couldn’t meet the demand of the true wireless Powerbeats Pro.

Beats Solo Pro came in 2019 as the first Solo headphones with Active Noise Cancellation technology and lightning port.

And Beats EP headphones were released in 2016 as a cheaper alternative to their on-ear headphones.

Noise cancellation or other smart features were absent there, and it was still based on the 3.5mm jack.

A Beats representative confirmed the news but declined to reveal the reason behind the termination of these three products. Perhaps the company wants to simplify its product lineup.

With these changes, according to the Beats website, the product lineup now consists of Beats Fit Pro, Beats Studio Buds, Beats Flex, Powerbeats Pro, Beats Solo3 Wireless, Beats Studio3 Wireless, Beats Pill+.
